Can a concrete statue be repaired?
I have a gargoyle that fell over & broke off a wing. It's about 25 " tall, and weighs about 160 lbs. The wing is a good 8 lbs, and the broken surface is about the size of a business envelope.
Can I fix it, and HOW???
There are several types of glue that would work (two-part expoxy, triglicoride, polymeres, etc)...try gorilla glue first. It's water activated and will swell. this will allow it to penetrate the porous concret for a better hold. If, after gluing the piece together, you have gpas or chips or ares that need to be filleld, use bondo (the stuff for fixing car dents). It fills the areas nicely, and it will stay will the cement and not crack out.
I fixed a japanese yard decoration using glue and bondo, still fine after 6 years...
