There are many definitions of the word Angel, but the most common definition of Angel is Messenger. Many cultures believe in Angels and have stories of how a Divine Spirit has sent or used Angels to carry out specific tasks. Throughout history these stories depict Angels usually Arch Angels bearing everything from news of an immaculate conception to the reign of death and destruction. The philosophy discussed here is built on the belief system that every human is born with a council of Guardian Angels or Spirit Guides (not to be confused with Arch Angels) that have been assigned the task of helping you with this earthly existence.
Your Angelic council is not here to make decisions for you or do the work for you but to gently guide, lead or nudge you to things, people and places that will help your soul fulfill your divine purpose.
Angels try to communicate with us often, but sometimes their messages are so subtle they are easy to miss. Those of us fortunate enough to be clairvoyant have the benefit of seeing these celestial companions, but for others communication can be a challenge. The best way to establish a relationship with these unseen friends is to trust and have faith without expectation, to have an open mind and a willing heart and to set the expectation that you will receive the information you seek. It is also not a bad idea to set a specific time and day aside to work on building this relationship. Setting the intention to connect with your Angelic council at the same time of day, in a relaxing, quiet, stress free environment will also facilitate this communication. Be aware of the different forms of Angel communication and look for these signs when trying to connect with their divine guidance. The following are some of the ways Angels communicate.
Repetitive thoughts, a thought that keeps recurring in your mind or even a song that keeps playing over and over in you head.
Coincidences, you open a page of a book, turn on the radio, TV or encounter a conversation between people on a subject that is of concern to you. In fact there is no such thing as a coincidence it is your Angels working on your behalf.
Repetitive Numbers, for example you may notice the time on the clock at the same time of day 2:22, you may drive behind a license plate with the numbers 222, then you go to an address with the numbers 222, this is a form of Angelic communication using numbers. The number 222, is a message that "everything is working exactly as its suppose to, with blessings for everyone involved". A personal example happened one evening when I was sitting with my family in the den, the phone rang, the answering machine came on but instead of playing a message from someone we knew, it played the message of a coach whose cell phone accidentally called our phone. The coach was yelling at the top of his lungs 47 SWEEP, 47 SWEEP, not believing in accidents I immediately looked up the number 47 in my Angel book, the message was, "The Angels say you are on the right path keep up the good work". I shared this info with my family, said thank you, and rejoiced in this blessing.
Animals and Nature, animals represent specific characteristics and seeing an animal out of place or a plant growing out of season are definite signs from above. Every Sunday I set aside time to commune with my Angels, it was early March and very chilly outside my eyes were closed as I received lovely messages of well being from my council. I had such a feeling of peace when I opened my eyes and looked out the patio doors at the trees still naked from the winter and suddenly a pair of humming birds appeared at the patio door, this was an unusual site for the part of Michigan I live in. I couldn't believe my eyes. I love humming birds and had never seen one! The encounter was so brief I was beginning to think they were large dragon flies when I looked and there they were again, they circled around and came back. It was as if my guides were saying lets give her another look so she will know for sure this Miracle! According to Native American folklore, the humming bird spirit totem represents resurrection and to remind mankind to notice beauty and peace.
Visions and Dreams, another way Angels communicate is through dreams; while your conscience mind is resting you are more open to Angelic communication. In this alpha state you are without judgment or expectation allowing a clear line of communication to not only your Angelic council but deceased loved ones as well. I have experienced several forms of this communication usually for me they are warnings preparing me for challenges to come. I have learned to appreciate these visions as they never fail to give me a heads up with people and situations.
